How Billing Works

Book Package & Pay Deposit

Choose your package and pay a $50 deposit to reserve your move-out slot.

Final Package Billed on Move-Out Day

Once your final item count is confirmed on move-out day, we bill you for the correct package.

Monthly Storage Billing

Storage is billed monthly from your move-out date (for example: May 9th, June 9th, July 9th).

Prorated August Storage

In August, you’re only charged for the actual number of days your items remain in storage.

Move-In Fee Matches Move-Out Fee

Your move-in service fee in the fall is the same amount as your move-out fee in May.

What Counts as an Item?

Tiger Totes operates a transparent per-item counting system. Every unit stored is cataloged to ensure precise pricing for LSU residents.

Tiger Tote: Each packed flat-rate tote equals 1 item.

Mini Fridge: Standard dorm-sized units count as 1 item.

Electronics: TVs and desktop monitors count as 1 item.

Furniture: Rugs and chairs count as 1 item; large futons/bulky dressers count as 2.

Above is Strictly Examples - We Take It All! 

Simplified: If it is stand alone and cannot fit into a Tiger Tote, it is considered an item.

Tiger Totes — Terms & Conditions

Pricing & Billing

Your student's final move-out fee and monthly storage rate will be determined on move-out day based on the actual item count at pickup. The move-out fee and first month of storage are due on move-out day. Storage is billed monthly from the move-out date. In August, storage will be prorated for the final month. The move-in fee will match the move-out fee charged in May and is due on move-in day.


Stair Fee

A stair fee of $50 per floor applies for rooms above the first floor (2nd floor: $50, 3rd floor: $100, 4th floor: $150, etc.).

If your student has an elevator, this charge will not apply.


Student Responsibilities & Additional Charges

  • If the student's inventory sheet and item labeling is incomplete at pickup, a $50 charge will apply.

  • If the student is not packed and ready by the scheduled move-out time frame they selected, a $50 charge will apply.

  • If the student does not make the scheduled tote pick-up time frame, a $25 redelivery fee will apply.

  • If the student's fridge is not cleaned out and emptied of all food, a $50 charge will apply. Leftover food creates unsanitary storage conditions and cannot be stored.


Damage & Insurance

Tiger Totes will replace any damaged items up to a $250 value per damaged item. Proof of purchase (receipt) must be provided for any damage claim/reimbursement. If any item exceeds $250 in value, it must be reported to our team prior to move-out so we are aware. All damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the student's move-in date. Claims made after 24 hours will not be eligible.


Cancellation & Refund Policy

Deposit refunds are available through April 25th. Cancellations made after April 25th are not eligible for a deposit refund.
